Ph.D student at the MoZoo Lab interested in Genomics and Genome evolution in invertebrates with a special focus on transposable element annotation and evolution in non-model invertebrates.

My current project involve: (a) long-reads based genome assembly of the manila clam Ruditapes philippinarum, (b) characterization and evolution of LINEs/SINEs in bivalve genomes and genome structural evolution in Ostreida. Moreover I am involved in comparative genomics analyses across termites and tadpole shrimps.



In my spare time I love to play with R markdown and trying to get used to Python and HTML. Reason why this site exisist. Plus, Iā€™m a Philip K. Dick fanatic.
